If you still think that former FBI Director James Comey is a stand-up guy than I present to you, even more evidence of his lies. According to reports, The website ProPublica reported, according to unnamed sources that Comey lied about the number of emails sent From Huma Abedin to Anthony Weiner, and it wasn’t off by just a few, it was more like thousands.
How could he ever think this would just slip by. With Trump in office, EVERYBODY is under extreme scrutiny. After all, we have to flush out the bad apples.
According to Western Journalism:
A new report claims FBI Director James Comey vastly overstated the number of emails former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin forwarded to her husband, Anthony Weiner.
The website ProPublica reported Monday that, according to unnamed sources, Comey’s testimony last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee that Abedin sent Weiner thousands of emails is untrue. Instead, the sources claim, only a handful of emails were sent from Clinton’s top aide to her now-disgraced husband to be printed.
Abedin has long said that during the time Clinton was secretary of state, she printed emails for Clinton to read because Clinton often preferred to read emails in hard copy form.
Last October, the FBI announced that it found thousands of Clinton-related emails on a laptop computer used by both Abedin and Weiner, who was being separately investigated by the FBI for his communication with underage girls.
ProPublica said that “FBI officials have privately acknowledged that Comey misstated what Abedin did and what the FBI investigators found. On Monday, the FBI was said to be preparing to correct the record by sending a letter to Congress later this week. But that plan now appears on hold, with the bureau undecided about what to do.”
The site said an unnamed law enforcement source said that unlike Comey’s depiction of Abedin making a “regular practice” of sending emails to Weiner, only “a handful” of emails were forwarded to Weiner.
The FBI and Abedin did not respond to ProPublica’s requests for comment.
Comey’s claim had been in conflict with a statement made by Abedin’s lawyer in the wake of the FBI’s October announcement that Clinton-related emails were found on the laptop computer Abedin and Weiner shared.
“She only learned for the first time on Friday, from press reports, of the possibility that a laptop belonging to Mr. Weiner could contain emails of hers,” Lawyer Karen Dunn said last year.
Abedin had multiple accounts that she used, including one official State Department account. She has said that she sent emails from that account to a private account so that she could print them there.
Abedin also received extensive communications from those who sent Abedin emails they wanted Clinton to see. One theory advanced last fall was that those emails were among those on the Abedin-Weiner laptop.
Regardless of the number of emails and how they reached the laptop, the FBI found that they were largely duplicates of existing communications and did not impact the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
We need honesty and accountability brought back, it is owed to the American people. Thankfully these investigations are starting to get to the bottom of some pretty shady business and yesterday was a major victory for America. And while you may hear celebrities and major news networks questioning Trump, I applaud him.
