Carlos Santana has been in the public eye for quite some time and is used to being in the spotlight. However, Santana is making headlines this week and it is not for his mean riffs on the guitar. Santana found himself in hot water after voicing an opinion about Adele winning a Grammy. You may be asking yourself right now, what could Santana have said that would cause such an outrage? The answer to that is simple, he said that Adele could sing.
According to Opposing Views:
After the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, Santana, a 13-time Grammy award-winner himself, told the Australian Associated Press that “Adele won because she can sing-sing.”
In contrast, he claimed Beyonce is more of a model, or — what some interpret he meant — performer.
“With all respect to our sister Beyonce, Beyonce is very beautiful to look at and it’s more like modeling kind of music — music to model a dress — she’s not a singer-singer, with all respect to her,” he added.

So to calm the liberal tears, Santana decided to clarify his statements on his Facebook profile.
Thankfully, some of his fans with functioning brain cells supported his free speech.
“You don’t have to apologize for anything,” wrote one Facebook user. Another person wrote, Carlos, you’re a classy man. Don’t apologize for someone looking to be “offended” so they can belittle you. You know what you meant and that’s what matters.
It is amazing that just because Santana stated his own opinion that he can be attacked. Whether you love Beyonce or Adele we are entitled to our own opinions. If you don’t like that, then please sit in the corner and draw us picture of where the opinion hurt you.
Till then, suck it up buttercups.
What do you think about Santana’s comments?
