In recent weeks there has been increasing tension between the Trump Administration and North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un, who has been defiant with his pursuit of nuclear weapons and recent missile testing. Tensions reached a boiling point when Kim Jong-Un threatened an attack against the U.S. territory of Guam. In typical Trump fashion, the President did not hold back and stated North Korea would be met with “fire and furry” should they choose to continue with the threats and follow through with attacking Guam. Naturally, the mainstream media was more concerned about President Trump’s tone, than the fact that the rogue nation of North Korea was threatening a nuclear attack against the United States of America. But how did we get to this point?
Well, it all started back in 1994 when President Bill Clinton made a horrible deal with North Korea, which gave them nuclear capability, and slick willy was under the impression that the communist North Korean Regime could be trusted. Announcing this deal he had made with North Korea, President Bill Clinton stated, “This is a good deal for the United States. North Korea will freeze and then dismantle its nuclear program. South Korea and our other allies will be better protected. The entire world will be safer as we slow the spread of nuclear weapons. South Korea, with support from Japan and other nations will bear most of the cost with providing North Korea with fuel to make up for the nuclear energy it is losing, and they will pay for an alternative power system for North Korea that will allow them to produce electricity while making it much harder for them to produce nuclear weapons. The United States and international inspectors will carefully monitor North Korea to make sure it keeps its commitments. Only as it does so will North Korea fully join the community of nations”.

President Bill Clinton was obviously wrong on so many levels. Somehow he thought the entire world would be safer and our allies better protected. In what universe? Liberal politicians of his sort have continually placated to America’s enemies under the delusion that if we just give in, the bad guys will be honest and do the right thing. At last count however, Iran and North Korea still want to destroy America.
Skip forward through the Bush Administration and the Obama Administration. One has to wonder how North Korea was allowed to develop the weapons they currently have. Both Bush and Obama had ample opportunity to stop North Korea but chose not to do so which leaves the United States of America and the rest of the world with a nuclear North Korea.
After the election of 2016, when President Elect Trump and President Obama were on the way to the inauguration ceremony, President Obama even told President Elect Trump that North Korea was the single biggest threat to American security at present. However, during the 8 years President Obama was in office, he never addressed the matter of a nuclear North Korea in a substantive way. Perhaps this is due in part to his attention being diverted with keeping Hillary Clinton out of jail, the Fast & Furious debacle, and his constant fear mongering to divide the races of America.
The next question which some in the media now seem to be asking is when is a President of the United States obligated to share with Americans information relevant to war and security. There are many in Washington D.C., the mainstream media, and even everyday Americans who feel that President Obama and his predecessor should have done more to stop North Korea, as well as disclose to the American people what was going on. Everyone in 1994 knew the deal that President Bill Clinton made with North Korea was a bad deal, and no one did anything about it. Now there is a new sheriff in town, President Trump, and his Secretary of Defense, James “Mad Dog” Mattis. Both of these men are likely now the only things preventing North Korea from launching nuclear weapons. Both men have made it very clear to the North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un and his oppressive regime that his threats, missile testing, and defiance of United Nations agreements will not be tolerated. Liberal politicians would be wise to understand that placating to Americas enemies never works, and if they ever shoot nuclear weapons at the USA, they are not going to ask for party affiliation or political views.
