People At Concert HORRIFIED At What KISS Does To U.S. Flag During Concert

The rock band, KISS, has been around through many changes in America, and they have never been the type to go quietly along with fads or other popularity gears actions. They have made a point to always stay true and honest throughout all the years in the public eye.  It is awesome to see they are still the exact same way all these years later.

During a show to honor veterans, KISS, in epic fashion slammed the anti-patriotic actions of those who would disrespect our country and service members by kneeling during our National Anthem, yet, they did it with class as they always do everything. Liberals in the crowd were clearly not happy about their stance, but they shouldn’t have gone to that particular show in the first place.

According to Western Journalism :

As football season gets underway again and national anthem protests resume on the sidelines, it’s time for a look back to when one of the country’s best-known rock bands took time from a concert to honor veterans while at the same time showing its disapproval of Colin Kaepernick for his protest of The Star Spangled Banner.

During a stop in Worcester, Mass., as part of its Freedom To Rock tour, KISS singer and guitarist Paul Stanley grabbed the microphone and told the audience that the freedom enjoyed in America came at a great cost.

Referring to military personnel, Stanley said, “They go overseas. They protect us. They stand up for us….When they come back, some of them need medical help, some of them need financial help….They don’t get what they’ve got coming from their country, so we try to be sure that they get it from us.”

He went on to say the band had been accepting donations to go to the charity group Hiring our Heroes.

At that point he presented a check in the amount of $150,000 to the charity. The money will go towards finding employment for veterans of the military.

“I want to tell you something,” Stanley said. “You should remember patriotism is always cool. Loving your country is always cool. Standing up, respecting and honoring our military is always cool.”

After being presented with a key to the city, Stanley asked the audience to stand and place their right hand over their heart.

The audience did as was asked and KISS led the crowd in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Stanley then shouted, “God bless you! God bless our troops!”

The band ended its show of patriotism by playing the national anthem in classic KISS style, while fireworks went off and a large American flag waved in the background.

News of the band’s patriotism made its way to Twitter.

One person responded to the tweet, saying:

KISS’ patriotism has been evident in its actions for several years.

For the past few years the band has earmarked $1 of the price of every concert ticket sold to be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, raising $500,000 in 2011.

Huge respect to KISS for their efforts over the years to promote patriotism and their never- ending work for veterans and military support causes. It is absolutely amazing to see a band of any genre stand up for their real beliefs regardless of what the mainstream music industry seems to be leaning towards.

Regardless of political beliefs, anyone can still support the men and women who fight and die for our rights to live freely. There really is no need to disgrace our flag and anthem to get a point across about their personal feelings on societal issues. A fight against oppression may be more supported by the masses if those pushing the fight did it in a less negative and anti-American way, but they just have to go to the extreme.

KISS is doing things right. They may not agree with certain things in our country, but that will never negate their patriotism for true American values. That makes them a shining star in a dusty and dark world. It is time to end the hatred that is so overly abundant in our streets today. Keep up the good work!

God Bless KISS, and God Bless America!
