Tom Brady’s Jersey Just Found…Here’s Who Swiped It From The Locker Room

Do you remember when Tom Brady’s winning jersey was snatched from the locker room after the Super Bowl? Well, when it’s theft was noticed people lost their minds and needed to know who took it. After a multi-agency investigation, they have finally located the jersey and it was found very far from home.

After New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led his team to a Super Bowl victory last month, his winning jersey inexplicably went missing. This week, the jersey was finally found, and the person who had it may surprise you.

Daily Mail reported that the jersey was found in Mexico after it was stolen directly from the locker room by credentialed journalist Mauricio Ortega, a former executive with Mexico’s Diario La Prensa. When police raided Ortega’s home, they also found a helmet belonging to Von Miller, the Most Valuable Player at the 2016 Super Bowl won by the Denver Broncos.

“The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media,” the NFL announced in a statement. “Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots’ security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl 51 jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered.”

“Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl 49 against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015,” the NFL added. Disturbing video footage shows a man believed to be Ortega entering the Patriots’ locker room minutes after they won the game. Seconds later, he was seen exiting the locker room with an object tucked under his arm.

You can watch the video here.

It makes you wonder if this was an inside job, but we may never know. I am just glad that the person who was responsible for this crime was found and hopefully will be brought to justice.
