Vietnam Vet Sees Protester Disrespecting The American Flag And Quickly Takes BRUTAL Action

Westboro Baptist Church has been a thorn in the sides of true Americans and Christians alike for many years, and we have all had a moment or two where we have become severely outraged at how this pathetic excuse for a church has dishonored our Veterans funerals. At one such funeral, however, a Vietnam Marine Veteran decided to show up to make sure that the “church” behaved itself.

What he saw and experienced sent him into such a rage that he lost his cool and went completely ape shit in epic fashion against one woman who thought it was a great idea to walk across a road with our flag under her feet.

She found out quickly that a Marine is not the person you want catching you desecrating our flag, and especially not at the funeral of a fellow Veteran!

According to US Chronicle :

Over the years, the Westboro Baptist Church has become infamous with their anti-military protests. Though it is their Constitutional Right to freely speak against the military, they choose to do so at the funerals of military veterans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Also present to witness the anti-military rallies are the families who are grieving for America’s fallen heroes.

Vietnam veteran Richard Pierce watched in outrage over what he saw members of the ‘church’ doing, and joined the anti-protester-protesters.

“I went there to mind my own business, and just to make sure everything was uppity up, and that there was no problems.”

Pierce received national attention after engaging in an alleged assault against one of the female protesters.

“It was not my intention to cause a problem. However, when I saw the young lady walking across the highway, dragging our flag under her feet, I lost my temper.”

Pierce was outraged at the woman’s behavior, and he says that he then reacted in a way that he felt was justified. The American veteran ‘spilled’ his cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee on the woman.

“It’s very meaningful to me as a marine, as it is to all marines. So many people have died in defense of that flag.”

The Westboro Baptist Church was protesting at the funeral of a marine at the time of the ‘coffee incident.’ Though Pierce has been charged with disorderly conduct, he has received the support of American politicians like Delaware House Speaker Pete Schwartzkopf, who said,

“With the exception of the spilled coffee, you pulled off a victory over hate and ignorance… By the way, if that gentleman is found guilty I would like to pay his fine”

Pierce has was interviewed about the incident afterwards, “I don’t care who you are, you are not going to disrespect the flag.”

What do you think about the Westboro Baptist Church protesting American veteran funerals, and Vietnam veteran Richard Pierce’s response?

Huge respect to this Veteran and his fighting back against absolutely disgusting people doing nothing but causing pain and heartache to those trying to honor their loved ones!

To Delaware House Speaker Pete Schwartzkopf, thank you sir for having this Veteran’s back and doing the right thing. We very rarely see politicians do the right thing, so it is refreshing to see a few step up for Richard Pierce like they are.

I know that for myself, I would probably catch a charge if I ever went to counter protest a Westboro protest in this country, and thankfully, there are many that would bail me out, but someone really needs to do something about this so-called church. The claims of First Amendment rights to gather and say whatever a person wants is not why the Constitution was written, and it is getting ridiculous that so many misinterpret the First Amendment and actually get away with their acts and words of outright hate!

God Bless this Vet and his backbone. He did what more Americans should be doing when confronted with this type of hatred for our service members and American symbols. Those who protest forget that the very soldier being laid to rest is only lost to us because they chose to defend the very rights these sick people use to protest in the first place. The irony is disgusting!
